Poetry Circle Tonight - Come on Down to Burrowing Owl, Canyon. 7-8 pm

Limericks started as clever outtakes in which folks in the Irish pub would hollder "Come on down to Limerick" and join in the fun. Tonight we'll be sharing all sorts of poems including some saucy limericks. Here's one I wrote at the Okoboji Writers' Retreat in September:


My daughter was born in a day.

She came on the 14th of May.

She never would work,

She’s a bit of a jerk,

The result of a romp in the hay.


With apologies to my daughter who is a fabulous hard-working counselor.
